Our intention here is to transform a set of still photos into the dynamic excitement of the dance.

The starting point is an album of conventional monochrome shots of Kalliopi in her starring roles as an international ballerina in the 60s. Some were by distinguished photographers, including Heinrich and Sasso (we have made every effort to trace the copyright holders).

Vincent used two IT apps: Pixelmator for colour and transformation of shapes; iPhoto for the sliding panels effect. The music, played by the World Peace Orchestra under Gergiev, is from Stravinsky’s Petrushka, which Kalliopi danced with the Dutch National Ballet.
